Obituary


Levi Ashby Huffman, 81, of Luray, passed away on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at Sentara RMH Medical Center. 
He was born on Dec. 24, 1940, in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Leonard Levi Huffman and Gladys Evelyn Burner Huffman. 
Levi grew up at Massanutten Heights and farmed with his uncle, Roy "Buck" Burner.
On Dec. 22, 1968, he married Nancy Beaver Huffman, who survives. 
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Thomas Huffman and fiancée Megan Morris of Stanley, and Charles Huffman; a daughter, Martha Huffman Spyrson and husband Scott of Illinois; a brother, Jay K. Huffman and wife Lois of Stanley; four grandchildren, Tabbyatha, Ella, Sarah and John Spyrson of Illinois, and another granddaughter expected in December. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Burner Huffman.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at the St. Luke Cemetery at Alma in Stanley by Larry Waters.  Memorial Contributions can be made to Stanley Volunteer Fire Dept.
