James Wright Obituary

James Arthur "Petey" Wright, 73, of Boyce, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

He was born on July 11, 1950, in Page County and was a son of the late James Edward Wright and Anna Belle Knight Walker.

James was a plumber with Breeden Mechanical for over 30 years.

He is survived by a son, Keith Wright of Colorado; four brothers, Wayne E. Wright and Richard S. Wright, both of Luray, and Sammy J. Wright and Donnie Knight of Stanley; three sisters, Diane F. Blosser of Stanley, Barbara Rowe of Grottoes, and Julie Error of Elkton; two granddaughters, Devan Caricofe of Weyers Cave, and Morgan Wright of Luray; three grandsons, Christopher Wright of New York, Caleb Wright of Luray, and Colby Wright of Fairfax; and four great-grandchildren, Braylon and Makenna Caricofe, and Axton and Adlee Bramlett. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Wright; and a brother, Anthony "A.J." Wright.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at the Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, at the funeral home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the AQHA Youth Organization, Bryan-College, Texas 77802; or to your local FFA.
