Helen Marie (Hammer) Good

Helen Marie Good, 86, of Skyview Springs, Luray, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

She was born on July 4, 1932, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of the late Ernest Hammer and Minnie Leigh Hammer.

Mrs. Good was a member of the Stanley United Methodist Church.

On Sept. 13, 1951, she married Russell “John” Paul Good, who died on April 11, 1995.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Cubbage and Wanda Narozniak, both of Stanley; two sons, Bobby Good of Shenandoah, and David Good of Stanley; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Frazier; and five brothers, Herman, Ashby, Franklin, Conrad and Gene Hammer.

A funeral service was conducted on Saturday, March 9, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Donnie Sherfey. Burial was in the Leake's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
