Haywood Carlton Seal Sr., 85, of Rileyville, died on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021.
He was born on Dec. 12, 1935, in Rappahannock and was a son of the late Everett Seal and Martha Bailey Seal.
Mr. Seal was a member of the Luray Pentecostal Church.
On Oct. 16, 1954, he married Vada Mae Tewalt Seal, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Debora Pullen of Woodstock, and Vanessa Thomas of Rileyville; a son, Haywood Carlton Seal Jr. of Luray; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Jacob, Roland, Millard, Samuel, Virgil, Arthur and Edward Seal; and two sisters, Edith Shepard; and Thelma Foster.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, at the Luray Pentecostal Church the Rev. Daniel D. Herring. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14, at the church.
Due to COVID-19, facial coverings and social distancing restrictions will be followed.
