George Owen Coates
Obituary
George Owen Coates, 88, of Luray, died on Friday, April 30, 2021.
He was born on July 22, 1932, in Waterbury, Conn., and was a son of the late Vincent Coates and Eileen Thompson Coates.
Mr. Coates was a veteran of the United States Army.
On Oct. 24, 1959, he married Gloria Coates, who died on Sept. 2, 2009. On Oct. 8, 2010, he married Mary Lovell Coates, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Kathleen Werner of Luray. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Vincent Coates Jr.
Services are planned for a later date.
