Freeda Alger Obituary

Freeda Diane Alger, 82, of Luray, died on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, at Page Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1938, in Winchester and was a daughter of the late Kester Washington “K.W.” Breeden and Neida Frances Richards Sours.

Ms. Alger is survived by a daughter, Veronica Brubaker of Luray; two sons, Brett Alger of Gardners, Pa., and Virgil S. Alger III of Rileyville; a sister, Zelda Buracker of Oklahoma; a half sister, Donna Bowen of Winchester; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Alger; a sister, Phyllis Owens; and three half sisters, Wanda Staub, Linda Richards and Glenda Dee Hottle.
