Obituary
Faye Alma Armel, 70, of Stanley, died on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1950, in Sophia, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Tracy Lacy and Ruth Miller Lacy.
Mrs. Armel had worked for K-Mart for 25 years in human resources.
On Nov. 21, 1969, she married Kenneth Leroy Armel, who died on Sept. 30, 2017.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Dawn Armel of Stanley; a son, Kenneth Wayne Armel of Stanley; a sister, Jo Ann Will of Mount Crawford; a brother, David Lacy of Fredericksburg; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Faye Armel; and a brother, Ronald Lacy.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 21, at the family residence at 125 Wanda St., Stanley. Burial will be private at the Macedonia Church Cemetery in White Post.
