Elwood Dewayne Jenkins

Elwood Dewayne Jenkins, 79, of Stanley, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab. 
He was born on November 29, 1943, in Luray and was a son of the late Howard C. Jenkins and Esta Mae Campbell Jenkins. 
His wife, Bessie Mae Jenkins, died on December 12, 2001. 
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Jenkins of Luray, and Elwood F. Jenkins of Woodville; three daughters, Doris Dommer of Luray, Brenda Jenkins of Woodville, and Kathy Jenkins of Stanley; a brother, Melvin E. Jenkins of Harrisonburg; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Glenn L., Joseph L., Robert "Tinker," George "Waddle," Harold "Pete," Lynwood W., Virgil "Buddy" and Howard J. Jenkins; and two sisters, Edith Lillard and Virginia Richards Drummond. 
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Jon Heddleston and Pastor Randy Clark. Burial will be in the Sperryville Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 9, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
