Eldon Warren Pettit

Eldon Warren “Dale” Pettit, 77, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at Page Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Jan. 15, 1943, in Luray and was a son of the late Melvin Henry Pettit and Mamie Suvella Turner Pettit.

Dale was a veteran of the United States Army and a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed playing music and was a member of several local bands including B.P. Express, Skyline and Coldfront to name a few.

Surviving are two sons, Jason and Warren Pettit, both of Luray; a daughter, Bronwyn Pettit of Luray; seven grandchildren, Gabriel Pettit, Kanen Pettit, Leah Pettit, Riley Pettit, Shayla Goode, Cassie Mauck and Emily Sine; and four great-grandchildren, Callan and Alana Pettit, and Mackala and Mackenzie Mauck. He was preceded in death by a son, Damon Ray Pettit; and two brothers, Melvin “Buddy” and Louis W. Pettit.

Services will be held at a later date.
