D.J. Walters

D.J. Walters, of Troutdale, VA, passed away on June 19, 2022 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Walters of Gainesville, VA, and his mother, Emma Hereford Walter, of Gainesville, VA. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Brenda; his son, Clint Walters (Tina) of Carrsville, VA; his daughter, Joni Sollars (Brandon) of Core, WV; and four grandchildren, Corinne Walters, Connor Walters, Emma Sollars, and Katherine Sollars.

For 37 years, D.J. served INOVA Fairfax Hospital in telecommunications, engineering, and sterile processing. After moving to Troutdale, he quickly made connections in the community, particularly at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the members of the Troutdale community and the staff of Johnston Memorial Hospital for their care over the past several months.

Arrangements are being managed by Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, VA. The family will receive guests on June 24, 2022 for visitation beginning at 1:00pm and the funeral beginning at 2:00pm. Services will be presided by Rev. Tim Boyette and Rev. Tim Webb. Interment will follow at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery. In addition, a Memorial Service will be held at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, in Troutdale, on Thursday, June 30 at 7:00pm.
