Obituary
Connie Lee Cubbage, 79, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1943, in Stanley and was a son of the late William Lake Cubbage and Geneva Florence Good Cubbage.
Mr. Cubbage was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren in Stanley.
His wife, Dorothy Marie Shifflett Cubbage, died on Sept. 4, 2017.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen Alger of Stanley; a sister, Geraldine Good of Stanley; four brothers, Ronnie Cubbage, Aldine Cubbage and Frankie Cubbage and Douglas Cubbage all of Stanley; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren by Pastor Jeff Lucas, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 126, Stanley, Va. 22851.
