Cleveland Howard Topley, 85, of Luray, died on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
He was born on June 6, 1936, in Arlington and was a son of the late Cleveland T. Topley and Violet Phillips Burnett.
Mr. Topley was a member of the Luray Moose Lodge 1413.
On Jan. 17, 1981, he married Betty Taylor Topley, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Kendall Alan Topley of Lebanon, Tenn., Cleveland H. Topley Jr. of Palmyra, and Landon Sampsell of Hayes; four daughters, Mollie Taylor of Florida, Casey Laird of Suffolk, and Patricia Ledon and Paula Wilson, both of Georgia; a sister, Kathleen Topley of Culpeper; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William G. Topley.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Luray Moose Lodge by Pastor Andy Seastrom.
