Clarence Elwood Good, 87, of Shenandoah, died on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.
He was born on March 15, 1932, in Stanley and was a son of the late John Will Good and Maude Campbell Good.
On Sept. 29, 1951, he married Dorothy Virginia Painter Good, who died on May 17, 2008.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Wayne Good of Shenandoah, and Clarence “Rick” Good Jr. of Stanley; a daughter, Lisa Leake of Shenandoah; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles William, Russell, John Amos, Thurston and Rufus Good; and two sisters, Loney Freeze and Louvena Good.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Jack Campbell. Burial will be in the Leake's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the church.
