Charles Fred Adams Sr., 73, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019.
He was born on May 6, 1946, in Baltimore Md., and was a son o the late Edward M. Adams and Ellen Adams.
Charles was a member of the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church.
On April 15, 1967, he married Edith Evon Adams, who died onApril 15, 2006.
He is survived by a son, Charles Fred Adams Jr. and wife Kim of Luray; three daughters, Tina Adams Lucas and companion Gene Frye of Luray, Edith Evon Adams of Luray, and Mozette Adams Osborne and husband Andy of Rileyville; 15 grandchildren, Tabatha Ann Lucas of Luray, Keith Edward Lucas Jr. of Stanley, Kristin Evon Lucas and Ashley Davis of Stanley, Charles Wesley Adams of Luray, Joseph McKinley Adams of Luray, Dylan Andrew Osborne and Cara Burner of Rileyville, Shantal Letae Jones and Stebbins Jones of Warrenton, Jacobb Corbin Adams of Luray, Albert Wayne Gatewood and Dakota Bartel of Waynesboro, Emma Lucille Adams of Luray, and Hunter Lee Osborne of Rileyville; seven great-grandchildren, Tristan Jakii Carter, Naviah Solaunge Cubbage, Tiara Jace-Evon Carter, Somiah Letae Gatewood, Lelia Marie Stroupe, Bray Wyatt Jones and Shyheim Wayne Jones; and six siblings, Ellen Santmyer, Elizabeth Adams, Mary Morales, Will Adams, Catherine Ashbrook and Robert Adams. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward “Buzzy” Adams and Joe Adams; and one great-grandchild, GiGi Amelle Jones.
A funeral service was conducted on Sunday, Dec. 29, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Jack Campbell.
The family received friends on Friday, Dec. 27, at the church.
