Angela Paige Lawrence, 43, of Luray, passed away quietly at the University of Virginia Medical Center on Monday, March 18, two days after her birthday.
Ms. Lawrence was born March 16, 1976, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Jerry E. and Susan B. Lawrence, both deceased.
Angela studied engineering with Lord Fairfax Community College while beginning her career at KVK Precision, a job she held for 24 years. She recently began working in the field of home health care. Anyone who knew her knew of her absolute devotion to helping others.
Ms. Lawrence had so many interests that made up her sweet personality. She loved cooking above all else but also loved horses, driftwood, the Outer Banks, sea glass, crafts, painting rocks to leave as special surprises for people to find, gardening, jelly beans and not having to wear shoes. She had a dream of someday getting to see Australia and New Zealand. She touched the lives of so many and rarely has there been a more loyal and loved friend.
She is survived by her two sons, Ryan Lorenzo Bernard Taylor, 18, and Dean Thomas James Taylor, who were the absolute center of her love and devotion; her sisters, Michelle McClelland and Sarah Breeden; and five nephews, Cameron Yi, Carter Yi, Sawyer Miller, David Royston and Joseph Royston. She is also survived by Ronnie Painter, her longtime companion, of Luray.
A celebration of life service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at the Newport Church of the Brethren. Burial was private.
She received medical support from the wonderful University of Virginia Medical Center to whom donations can be made in her memory. Send contributions to: UVA Health Foundation, 2410 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Va. 22903.
