Faye Elizabeth Vaughn,69, of Luray, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1949, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Oswell Elwood Waters and June Elizabeth Kibler Waters.
Mrs. Vaughn worked as a supervisor at the Page County Health Department for 48 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of the Rocky Branch Regular Baptist Church.
On May 1, 1970, she married Dwight Glenwood Vaughn, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Dana L. Cook of Williamsburg, and Sara Vaughn of Luray; two sisters, Alice Pence of Shenandoah, and Nina Knight of Stanley; and two brothers, Daniel Waters of Nashville, Tenn., and Oswell Waters Jr. of Bryson City, N.C.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, at the Rocky Branch Regular Baptist Church by Pastor Joseph “Jodie” Hendricks. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the church.
