Winfred Amos Good

Winfred Amos Good, 84, of Stanley, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Hawksbill Assisted Living in Luray.

He was born on May 28, 1940, in Luray and was a son of the late Luther Martin Good and Maggie Lee Short Good.

Winfred was a member of the Stanley Baptist Church.

On June 23, 1990, he married Jane Turner Heiser Good, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Winfred is survived by two sons, David Allen Good of Luray, and Donald Good and wife Marsha of Parkersburg, WV; three daughters, Sharon DeHaven of Luray, Pam Dowrey and husband George of Timberville, and Jeannie Turner and Jesse Carr of New Market; a sister, Maxine Gray of Stanley; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Lee Good.
