Wanda Lee Higgs, 71, died peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
She was born on November 30, 1952, in West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Major William Dodson and Norma Lee Hough Skinner.
On September 17, 1970, Wanda married William "Randy" Higgs, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Karen and spouse John Alger Jr. of Shenandoah, and Patricia and spouse Andy Alger of Luray; a sister, Kathy D. Coffey of Luray; three grandchildren, William (Charlyn) of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Ashley (Bryan) of Kodak, Tennessee, and Hunter (Hayleigh) of Luray; and four great-grandchildren, Willow, Maisee, Cayleb and McKenzie.
Services will be private at a later date.
Donations can be made in memory of Wanda Lee Higgs to the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Page County Animal Shelter.
