Walter Everett Erdman
April 10, 1936 – September 11, 2020
After a brief illness, Walter Everett Erdman, 84, of the Bridgewater Retirement Community, died peacefully on Friday, September 11. He leaves his devoted wife, Fonda, and his children Debbie, Donna, and David (Roxy). He is survived by four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. He will be missed by his siblings, Frederick, Gustav, Dorothy, and Margaret. He was predeceased by his sister, Louise, and his brother, Herbert.
Walter was born in Middletown, Conn. Walter was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as an accountant for the Department of the Army. After retirement, he worked for Rockingham Construction and Good Printers. He was a member and usher at the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren and sang with the Rockingham Male Chorus. Walter’s favorite past times included coin and stamp collecting, bible reading, and walking around the neighborhood. He enjoyed quiet time in the evenings with Fonda.
A graveside service was held on Monday, Sept. 14, at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
