Obituary
Vernon McArthur Bailey, 78, of Rileyville, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1944, in Luray and was a son of the late Turner Charles Bailey and Mary Mae Lansberry Bailey.
Vernon worked as a custodian for Warren County Public School for 33 years.
On Sept. 27, 1966, he married Patricia Ann Mabe Bailey, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, David Bailey of Luray; two daughters, Melissa Baldwin and Amie Bailey Dillard; three sisters, Phlyllis Sours of Luray, Jeanette Cubbage of Stanley, and Jamie Cave of Luray; and four grandchildren, Blake Baldwin, Griffyn Dillard, Holly Bailey and Tucker Dillard. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Fisher, Nina Burns and Sharon Parlett; and three brothers, Amos Bailey, Arthur Bailey and Turner Bailey Jr.
