Timothy Cover Harvey

Timothy Cover Harvey, 78, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.

He was born on May 23, 1945, in Luray and was a son of the late Warder O. "Curly" Harvey and Mary L. Miller Harvey.

Timothy was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also the drummer for two local bands of Luray, the Kountry Kousins and the Modernaires. Before his declining health, he enjoyed his job at the Mimslyn as doorman.

On November 12, 2000, he married Peggy Hamrick Harvey, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Eric Harvey (Meredith) of Richmond, and Nicholas Harvey (Sarah) of Harrisonburg; a brother, Warder M. "Buzzy" Harvey of Luray; five grandchildren, Amber, Nate, Rylan, Caleb and Emma; and his ex-wife, Evelyn Harvey of Stanley. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maria A. Darnell and Brenda Beahm; and a brother, Phillip Harvey.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, at the Bradley Funeral Home
