Stewart Marshall Parlett, 79, of Luray, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025.
He was born on September 26, 1945, in Luray and was a son of the late Paul Jackson Parlett Sr. and Anna E. Richards Parlett.
Stewart was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from U.S. Customs and Border Protection Department of Homeland Security in the K-9 Division with 35 years service.
On February 1, 1969, he married Mary Carolyn McDaniel Parlett, who died on June 23, 2009.
Stewart is survived by a sister, Peggy Hutchinson of Charlottesville; and two special boys, Ayden and Austin Lucas of Luray. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Dyer and Anna Lee Breeden; and five brothers, Robert Parlett, James Parlett, Harold Parlett, Charles Parlett and Paul Jackson Parlett Jr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16, at the Mount Zion Church of the Brethren in Luray by Pastor Josh Parlett, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.
Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery with military honors by the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621.
