Russell "Quack" Painter Jr.

Russell Journey "Quack" Painter Jr., 58, of Luray, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Page Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 25, 1966, in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Russell "Jack" Painter Sr. and Nancy Marie Painter.

He is survived by two daughters, Crissy Allison and husband Raymond of Mississippi, and Haley Fair and husband Aarron of Williamsport, PA; a sister, Michelle Hartman of New Market; and a granddaughter, Presleigh Allison of Mississippi. He was preceded in death by a son, Noah.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, at the church by Pastor Charles Turner. Burial will be in the Calvary Independent Brethren Cemetery.
