Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Lee Stroop, 64, of Front Royal, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on September 7, 1958, in Manassas and was a son of the late Clyde Emmett Stroop and Lois Virginia Riley Stroop.
Bobby worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) as a maintenance supervisor.
On December 23, 1977, he married Deborah Elaine Riley Stroop, who died on March 11, 2015.
He is survived by a daughter, Dixie Griffin of West Monroe, La.; a brother, Charles Phillip Stroop of Luray; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Martin and Lois Kerns; and a brother, Clyde Stroop.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, at the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church by Pastor Randy Miller, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church Building Fund, Stanley, Va. 22851.
