Obituary

Robert “Rob” Petefish, 72, passed from this life on Thursday, May 26th at Sentara RMH surrounded by family.

Rob was born on July 22, 1949 in Page County to Lucille and Conard Petefish.

Rob married the love of his life, Kay Stroupe, on June 27th, 1971.

He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Housden and husband Larry and a son, Aaron “Scott” and wife Paige, as well as his grandchildren, Jade and Rachel Housden and first great grandchild due in October, Elizabeth: Madison, Aryn, Lex, Blayn, Parker and soon to be Olivia Petefish.  One brother Gary and three sisters, Sharyn and husband, Chuck; Deb Petefish and Theresa Posey and husband Jody.

Rob proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973 as a Communications Specialist.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors.  He was a great storyteller and comedian who always had a joke to tell. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Kay and three nephews, Preston Posey and Adam and Joseph Petefish.

Family night will be Tuesday, May 31 from 6 to 8 pm at Bradley’s Funeral Home.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date for family.
