Robert Elwood Dean Jr.

Robert Elwood Dean Jr., 67, of Shenandoah, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

He was born on April 10, 1956, in Luray and was a son of the late Robert Elwood Dean Sr. and Charlotte Cubbage Dean.

Robert was a 1974 graduate of Page County High School and worked as a technician at DuPont for 29 years. He was a member of the Lily of the Valley Independent Church.

On October 26, 1998, he married Cynthia Hester Dean, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Robert Dean III of Shenandoah; and two daughters, Melissa "Missy" Dean and Amanda "Mandy" Dean, both of Shenandoah.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 17, at the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren in Stanley by the Rev. Dickie Campbell. Burial will be in the Leake’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Thursday, November 16, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
