Richard Allen Pyles Sr., 74, of Luray, passed away on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at Page Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1948, in Maryland and was a son of the late Norman Pyles and Cora Myers Pyles.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by four sons, Ricky Allen Pyles Jr. and wife Kimberlie of Stanley, and Richard Allen Pyles Jr. and wife Angie, Thomas Pyles and wife Heidi, and Eric Pyles, all of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Maria Furhman of Pennsylvania; a stepson, Jessie Moulder of Luray; three brothers, David, Donald and John; four sisters, Betty, Lorraine, Sandy and Sharon; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Stanley, Carl, James, Robert, Gerald, Ronald and Douglas.
