Obituary
Richard Lawrence Burrell, 79, of Shenandoah, died on, Jan. 26, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on Oct. 11, 1942, in Alexandria and was a son of the late Richard C. Burrell and Mary Jane Beerman Burrell.
Mr. Burrell was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Luray.
On Aug. 17, 1968, he married Charlene M. Payne Burrell, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Timothy Burrell of Stafford; two daughters, Michelle McCracken of Reston, and Mary Rodriguez of New Jersey; two brothers, John Burrell of Winchester, and Thomas Burrell of Shenandoah; a sister, Mary Neff of Arlington; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Timothy Burrell; and a sister, Cathy Albrecht. Memorial Contributions can be made to Christian Appalachian Project, Page One and Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
