Obituary

Phillip Charles Campbell, 74, of Stanley, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1946, in Luray and was a son of the late Osborne “Huggie” Campbell and Anna Mae McDonald Campbell.

Phillip had worked as a chef for ARA.

He is survived by a daughter, Kristin Campbell of Stanley; two sisters, Shirley Ann Cubbage of Front Royal, and Betty Lue Housden of Stanley; one granddaughter, Halee Snyder and husband Timmy; one grandson, Aaron Breeden and wife Hailey; and three great-grandchildren, Bryer Williard, Barrett Lee and Gatlin Charles. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Belle Good and Charlotte M. Johnson; and two brothers, Julian E. Campbell Sr. and Lolia Campbell.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Huffman Family Cemetery in Luray by Doug Purdham. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department, Stanley, Va. 22851.
