Patricia Lynn Roberts

Patricia Lynn (Patti) Roberts, 70, of Luray, VA, died Sunday Nov. 28, 2021 at UVA University Hospital after battling Covid-19.

Born Dec. 1, 1950, in Petersburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ward Evers Roberts and Joan Taylor McCauley.

Patti was a lifelong teacher and resident of Luray, VA graduating from Luray High School and then James Madison College.  Her love of teaching showed in her roles as Librarian and IT Specialist.  Patti was also a staunch supporter of the Page Valley Fair having served in the office and various roles for many years.  Most recently she served on the board of the Page County Public Education Foundation.  Patti also loved her roles with the Sheriff’s Emergency Communication Center and Police department during retirement.

Patti loved music, classic movies and taking rides in the country and on the mountain to see the scenery and the animals.  She never tired of that view from the valley up to the Blue Ridge at Skyland.  Patti also loved learning new crafts like basket making but most importantly it was about spending time with friends.  She loved taking those famous rides and going out to eat with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

She is survived by one brother, John McCauley and wife, Jenny, of Newport News, VA and nieces Janie Shrader and Megan McCauley.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at the Bradley Funeral Home, 187 E. Main St. Luray, VA 22835.  A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made for scholarship funds to the Page County Public Education Foundation, 735 W. Main Street, Luray, VA 22835.
