Obituary

Myra Jo Ward, 55, of Shenandoah, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

She was born on May 15, 1968, in Beckley, WV, and was a daughter of Karen Jean Webb Stamper of Hopewell and the late Robert Lee Ward.

Myra was a member of the Forward For Christ Baptist Church in Luray.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her companion, Robert Allen Campbell of Shenandoah; two sons, Dorian Y. Ward of Florida, and Joseph L. Pierce of Chesterfield; a sister, Judith A. Duncan of Luray; two brothers, Dwayne A. Ward of Hopewell, and Robert Lee Ward Jr. of Maine; and one grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at Forward For Christ Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
