Michael Dale Painter, 60, of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on December 10, 1963, in Luray and was a son of the late Harvey Daley and Nancy Linnette Painter.
Michael was a member of the Redeeming Love Fellowship Church of Shenandoah, Virginia. His love for God was unimaginable. He was also a member of the Roundhead Sportsmen’s Club. He found joy in hunting, reading the Bible, listening to the Word of God, spending time with his family and friends, and hanging out at the Hawksbill Diner.
Michael is survived by his siblings, his sister, Linnette Knight and husband Ronald Knight, and his brother, Christopher Painter and wife Candy Painter; a nephew, Derrick Cubbage and wife Pam Cubbage; a niece, Brandy Petefish; four great nieces, Madison, Aryn, Lexi and Kenleigh; and two great nephews, Blayn and Easton.
He also had four nieces through Christopher: Amanda, Crystal, Sabrina and Melissa.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Redeeming Love Fellowship Church by Paster Leroy Hulvey.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Redeeming Love Fellowship Church in Shenandoah, Virginia.
