Michael Dean Cook, 78, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
He was born on February 21, 1945, in Gary, Indiana, and was a son of the late Russell Cook and Marjorie Dinwiddie Cook.
Michael worked for Verizon as a technician for 32 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Luray and a veteran of the United States Navy.
On May 4, 1968, he married Sharon Pierce Cook, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Brian Cook and wife Shelly, and Jeremy Cook and wife Shannon, all of Aldie; five grandchildren, Reagan, Benjamin, Katrina, Samantha and Ashley; and one great-grandchild, Emmett. He was preceded in death by a son, James Cook; a sister, Janet Cook; and a brother, Jack Cook.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 26, at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
