Melissa Denise Presgraves

Melissa Denise Presgraves, 54, of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

She was born on March 3, 1972, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of Kenneth R. Shifflett of Luray and the late Joyce White Thomas Shifflett.

Melissa worked at Hardee's for 34 years, ending as a Regional Director.

In addition to her father, Melissa is survived by two daughters, Katelyn Shifflett (Casey) of Richmond, and Emily Shifflett of Luray; a brother, Danny Shifflett of Luray; her companion, Jennifer Cook of Ashland; 5 grandchildren, Khloe Shifflett, Wyatt Shifflett, Jaxon Shifflett, Johnny Sullivan and Calliope Quinn; and 3 nephews, Brandon Dean (Vanessa), William Shifflett (Amber), and Zachary Shifflett. 

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Kevin Graham, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Breeden Family Cemetery in Stanley.
