Maxine Marie (Campbell) Breeden

Maxine Marie Breeden, 78, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

She was born on March 27, 1947, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Frank Lewis Campbell and Esther "Tiny" Moline Lucas Campbell.

Maxine was a member of the Riverview Independent Gospel Church in Stanley.

On June 19, 1965, she married Cletus Edward "Pete" Breeden, who died on February 3, 2022.

Maxine is survived by two daughters, Sandra Moyer and husband Allen, and Tammy Lloyd and husband Alton, all of Stanley; two brothers, Haskell Campbell of Stanley, and Donnie Campbell of Strasburg; three sisters, Wanda Heltzel of Luray, Ethel Keller of Fulks Run, and Wilma Campbell of New Market; five grandchildren, Brandy Marks (Miranda), Amanda Good (Lukas), Dustin Lloyd (Beth), Megan Moyer (Timmy Butler), and Kellie Lloyd; and six great-grandchildren, Ava, Adaline, Alivia, Ashton, Chloe and Rosie. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lam; and a brother, Ervin Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, at the Riverview Independent Gospel Church

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 23, at the church by Pastor Jeff Lucas.
