Mary Ellen Wood

Mary Ellen Wood, 76, of Fairfax, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. 

She was born on December 23, 1946, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Frank Marion Keyser and Lucy Anna Viands Keyser.

Mary Ellen was a member of the Page United Methodist Church. 

On January 22, 1966, she married Larry Douglas Wood, who died on January 10, 2022.

She is survived by two sons, Allen Wood and wife Lisa of South Riding, and Brian Wood and wife Jessica of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Sherry Fugate and husband Randy of Centreville; two sisters, Bonnie Sue Judd and husband Kenny, and Anna M. Mims and husband Bobby, all of Luray; two grandsons, Jacob Fugate and Nicholas Fugate, both of Centreville; three granddaughters, Olivia Fugate of Centreville, Ashleigh Wood of South Riding, and Audrey Ellen Wood of Austin, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Anita Keyser of Luray. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Marion Keyser Jr.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 27, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Laura Schultz, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
