Obituary
Marjorie Loraine Banach, 91, of Stanley, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester.
She was born on February 29, 1932, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Walter Broyles and Effie Taylor Broyles.
On January 1, 1951, Marjorie married John Banach, who died on March 18, 2021.
She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Quillen of Luray; three sons, John Banach of Stanley, Richard Banach of Middlesboro, Ky., and Robert Banach of Gloucester; seven grandchildren, Brad, Melissa, Rebecca, Tony, T.J., Ariana and Chelsea; nine great-grandchildren, Alexis, Allison, Carson, Dylan, Luke, Lynwood, Talan, Tayden and Willow; and two great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Azalie. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Banach; four brothers, Marshell, Wayne, Meade and Walter; three sisters, Naomi, Rosalie and Pansy; and a grandson, Christian.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
