Lisa Ann Gray-Payton, 62, of Luray, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
She was born on February 8, 1962, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of Virginia Pearl Grimsley Gray of Elkton and the late Glendon Wayne Gray.
Lisa had worked at ARA, Comdial, Wrangler, Masonite and EMCO.
On September 2, 2006, she married Donald Lee Payton, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her mother and her husband are two sons, Joseph Wayne Gray of Elkton, and Michael Sunday Payton of Luray; two sisters, Glenda Gray Hansbrough and husband Greg of Elkton, and Tina Susan Schonstrom and husband John of Saint Petersburg, FL; two grandsons, Joseph Wayne Gray Jr. of Elkton, and Dominyck Ryan Quinn of Harrisonburg; and three nieces, Sadrienne "Sadie" Morin, Tasha Hansbrough and Johnna Schonstrom. She was preceded in death by a son, Malcolm Lee Payton; and her grandparents, Charles Bernard Gray, Stella Mae Gray, Florence Marie Kirtley and Mohler Clarence "Buddy" Campbell Sr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at the Bradley Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Whispering Pine Cemetery in Stanley.
The funeral home will also be open for viewing from 12 noon - 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.
