Lillian May Gorman, 98, of Shenandoah, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 17, 1924, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Ernest Jenkins and Florence E. Decker Jenkins.
Lillian owned and operated the Hawksbill Diner for 10 years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Independent Christian Church.
On Nov. 26, 1948, she married James Arthur Gorman, who died on June 24, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Sue Lucas of Shenandoah; a son, James Edward Gorman of Stanley; four granddaughters, Karen Hensley, Michele Mines, Wendy Williams and Ashley Showalter; and four great-grandsons, Tyler Davis, Logan Gorman, Jacob Williams and Brantley Showalter. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Melvin, Nelson, Rufus, Willard, Carson and Lonzie Jenkins; and a sister, Alice Breeden.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, at the Bethlehem Christian Church in Stanley.
