Larry Edward Stanley

Larry Edward Stanley, 71, of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1950, in Shenandoah and was a son of the late Ernest David Stanley and Myrtle G. Tappy Stanley.

On Aug. 27, 1970, Larry married Linda Diane Lucas Stanley, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Lucas of Stanley; two daughters, Donna Griffith and husband Brandon of Stanley, and Tammy Campbell and husband Jacob of Clay, W.Va.; two sons, Larry E. Stanley Jr., and Timmy Stanley and wife Kym, all of Stanley; two sisters, Barbara Ann Lansberry and Carolyn Maxine Huffman, both of Luray; four brothers, Charles Ray Stanley of Luray, and Donald Lee, Roy Dale and William “Wimpy” Stanley, all of Stanley; eight grandchildren, Christopher Pierce and wife Alysha, Cassie Weakley, William Weakley, Aiden Good, Todd Davis, Anthony Long, Brandon Stanley and Chandler Stanley; and five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Long, Camden Ramey, Connor Ramey, Sawyer Pierce and Baker Pierce. He was preceded in death by three brothers, David Ernest, Alvin Wayne and Johnny Stanley; and four sisters, Geraldine Mae Cave, Mary Gertrude Moubray, Phyllis Marie Stanley and Lois Jean Breeden.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Jack Campbell and Pastor Donnie Burns.
