Kenneth Dietrich Hilliard

Kenneth Dietrich Hilliard, 85, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024.

He was born on September 26, 1938, in Page County and was a son of the late James Cephas Hilliard and Louise Virginia Stroupe Hilliard.

Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Merck and from Southern States, where he worked as service tech, with 30 years of service.

On February 11, 1961, he married Yvonne Long Hilliard, who died on July 8, 2013. 

On May 17, 2016, Kenneth married Patricia Long Pence, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Richard Douglas Hilliard and wife Adrienne of Stanley; and a brother, James C. Hilliard Jr. of Stanley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald A. Hilliard; and a sister, Wanda G. Hoak.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley by the Rev. Charles Turner, with military honors by the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621 of Luray.

The Bradley Funeral Home will be open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, July 22, for viewing and to sign the guest book.
