Kathy Chrisman Obituary

Kathy Teresa Chrisman, 64, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1956, in Martinsville and was a daughter of the late Jesse Clifton Thomason and Minnie Lee Jackson Thomason.

Kathy was a high school teacher for Page County Public Schools for more than 34 years, retiring in 2013. She volunteered at Page One for several years and served as secretary for Beth Eden Lutheran Church.

On April 10, 1982, she married Michael Vernon “Coach” Chrisman, who died on Sept. 30, 2016.

She is survived by two sons, Michael and Cliff Chrisman, both of Luray; a sister, Joyce Call of Greensboro, N.C.; two nieces, Michele Joyce of Tampa, Fla, Marlana Lackey of Collinsville VA; and a cousin, Steve Davidson of Collinsville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Blackstone; and a brother, Howard L. Blackstone Jr.

Services are planned for a later date.
