June Elizabeth Malbone, 84, of Rileyville, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on October 15, 1940, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of the late Samuel Lee Turner and Dollie Housden Turner.
June was a founding member of the Forward For Christ Baptist Church in Luray.
On January 10, 1976, she married Andrew Kenton "Sonny" Malbone Jr., who died on October 17, 2005.
June is survived by two daughters, Andrea Sours and husband Chris of Luray, and Joy Holland and companion Chucky Smith of Rileyville; a brother, James Turner and Carlea of Stanley; two grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Holland and Emma Rae Holland, both of Stephens City; her furbaby, Gidget; her granddogs, Cooper, Tazz, CeCe and Moose, and grandkitties Piper, Pickles and Peaches. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Keyser and Joyce Florene Turner.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 7, at the Forward For Christ Baptist Church by Pastor Josh Parlett and Pastor Chester Knighting, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Leaksville Church Cemetery in Luray.
