Judith Ann McDaniel Long, 82, of Stanley, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on May 11, 2026.
Judith was born on October 30, 1943, and was a daughter of the late Dillard and Mag Hilliard McDaniel. She was the oldest of 12 children.
In 1962, Judith was a member of the first graduating class from Page County High School. She continued her education at Georgetown University, where she received a Certificate in Radiology. She was a member of the Stanley United Methodist Church.
On August 8, 1964, she married Wayne Everette Long, who preceded her in death on September 6, 1996.
Judith is survived by her children, Beth Allison Long Breeden and husband Johnny of Stanley, and Brian Wayne Long and wife Lisa of Weyers Cave; and her grandchildren, Lauren, Ayden and Lilly.
She is also survived by her siblings, Jack and wife Karen (Kay), Kay and husband Greg, Bobbie, Paula, Janey, and Doug and wife Tammy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary, Jeanie, Connie, Janet and David.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Pete Campbell and Evangelist Doug Gochenour, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley Volunteer Rescue Squad.
