Joyce White (Thomas) Shifflett

Joyce White Thomas Shifflett, 75, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

She was born on June 11, 1948, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Jonah G. Thomas and Freda P. Offenbacker Thomas.

On January 2, 1965, Joyce married Kenneth R. Shifflett, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Melissa D. Shifflett Presgraves (Jennifer) of Ashland; a son, Danny R. Shifflett of Luray; five grandchildren, Katelyn Shifflett, Brandon Dean (Vanessa), Emily Shifflett, William Shifflett (Amber) and Zachary Shifflett; five great-grandchildren, Khloe, Wyatt, Jaxon, Johnny and Calliope; and many beloved cats.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Charles Turner, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Breeden Family Cemetery in Stanley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Page County Animal Shelter or to the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad.
