John Lee Gerhard, 51, of Luray, passed away on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1970, in Arlington and was a son of the late George Howard Gerhard and Bonnie Sue Bennett Gerhard.
John was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a network engineer for George Mason University for 20 years.
On Aug. 20, 1995, he married Lisa Gail Goldberg Gerhard, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Markus Gerhard, Jonathan Gerhard and Dylan Gerhard; and two grandsons, Covan and Gage Gerhard.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 am. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Bradley Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.
