Jesse Aaron Taylor, 46, went home to be with our Lord on March 31, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Jesse was born on April 20, 1977, in Luray, Virginia, a son of Granville Owen “Doc” Taylor and Beverly Ann Theodores Reid.
Jesse was a great musician and released several albums throughout his career. Over the years, Jesse formed numerous bands with the first band, The Gloria Bills, being very popular with the song Jesse wrote, “Always, Sometimes” and toured several states for performances to promote the album.
Jesse was a prolific songwriter and wrote music from his heart and with his in-home studio, produced many of those songs. Jesse played several instruments with the guitar being his favorite. Jesse was also a distinguished Dental Equipment Technician.
Jesse loved spending time with his dogs, Hades, Belle, Michele and Baby. Jesse loved going to thrift stores and antique stores and collected interesting conversation pieces such as an 1800’s wooden leg that he proudly displayed at Chuck’s Music store.
Jesse loved listening to the early Beatles music and the Everly Brothers. Jesse had no sense of time and had been known to text his siblings at 2 a.m. to share something he found funny on the internet. Jesse was proud of his house in Berea, Kentucky, and spoke often of the wide outdoors that he had access to. Over the last few years, Jesse grew his relationship with the Lord, accepting Jesus as his Savior.
Surviving are his two sisters, Julie Ann Taylor of Verona, Virginia, and Elizabeth Hope Winfield (Robert) of Lexington, Kentucky; two brothers, Glenn Owen Taylor II (Crystal), and Eric Nelson Taylor (Crystal), both of Lexington, Kentucky; nine nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and special companion, Cassie (Sissy and Bub) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.
