Jesse Burns Obituary
Jesse Lynwood Burns, 70, of Shenandoah, died on Friday, April 29, 2022.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1952, in Luray and was a son of the late Jesse Burns Jr. and Viola Simple Burns Pitts and stepson of the late Edward D. Pitts.
On May 14, 1993, he married Theresa Ann Pettit Burns, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Jesse Eugene Burns of Luray, and Christopher Scott Burns of Singers Glen; a brother, Kenny Burns of Luray; a sister, Donna Lucas of Stanley; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Julian Shifflett. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, at the funeral home.
