James M. Campbell

James Michael Campbell, 57, of Luray, died on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on April 11, 1964, in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Norlan Wayne "Sparky" Campbell and Mary Willette Sutphin Campbell.
James worked for Fairfax County as a chief building engineer. 
On June 25, 1983, he married Kathy Diane Case Campbell, who survives. 
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Christopher Lee and Joseph Wayne Campbell, both of Luray, John Michael Campbell of Barboursville, and Jessie Allen Campbell of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Kathy Fake and Loretta A. Wright of Stanley; two brothers, Larry N. Campbell of Louisiana, and W. Patrick Campbell of Hawaii; and eight grandchildren,  Hayden, Isabella "Bella," Parker, Sofia, Riley, Leigha, Josie and Jaylee.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday,  Nov. 11, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Jack Haddock. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Luray Midget League or to Luray  Little League in his memory.
