Jack Richardson

Jack Richardson, 87, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.

He was born on May 6, 1933, in Martinsville, VA and was a son of the late Charlie Lee Hoskins and Sallie Ann Foust.

Jack retired from the Federal Government, having worked in building and grounds located at Arlington National Cemetery. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion.

On Dec. 31, 1986, he married Atlas Josephine Gentry Richardson, who died on Sept. 4, 2005.

Jack is survived by three stepdaughters, Betty Colenda of Alexandria, Joan Garcia of Fredericksburg, and Doris Higginbotham of Luray; two stepsons, Ashby Gentry of Manassas, and Franklin Gentry of Locust Grove; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Ray; two stepsons, Eugene and Carl Gentry; and a stepdaughter, Clara Mae Shiflett.
